The Dept of Anthropology heartily Congratulates Dr Ruokuonuo Yhome, Guest Faculty, Dept of Anthropology on being awarded fully funded Fulbright Post Doctoral Fellowship 2023. She will be working under Prof. Peter Ungar, University of Arkansas USA on the topic "Investigation of Dental microwear of Chalcolithic to Historical populations of India"

Dr. Limatemjen, Associate Professor in Zoology, KSCJ has been an active researcher in diverse fields including Fresh water ecology, Fish & Fishery, having provided consultancy service to International agencies and the Dept. of Fishery, Meghalaya. He discovered a new species of cicada (2021) and horsehair worm (2015), also gave first report (India) of a genus and several species of Nematomorpha. He is published in many international journals with high Impact Factor.

Mrs. R Moasangla Jamir, Vice Principal at Kohima Science College Autonomous retired on October 2025. The KSCJ faculty, staff & students is grateful for his dedication and commitment rendered to the college and wishes him a healthy and wonderful life ahead.

Mr. Dzesevituo Angami, Assistant Professor has rendered 31 years at Kohima Science College Autonomous. He retired on August 2022. The KSCJ faculty, staff & students is grateful for his dedication and commitment rendered to the college and wishes him a healthy and wonderful life ahead.

Dr. Lily Sema, Principal has served for 33 years at Kohima Science College Autonomous and has been transferred as Additional Director, Higher Education, Government of Nagaland. We acknowledge her sincerity and dedication and wish her the very best in her new assignment.

Prof. Sanjay Sharma, Dean of Sciences has served for 25 years at Kohima Science College Autonomous and has been transferred as Principal, Dimapur government college. We acknowledge his sincerity and dedication and wish him the very best in his new assignment.

Dr.T.Tiakaba Jamir from the Department of Chemistry has rendered 24 years for the growth of the college. He has been promoted as Principal, Phek Government College. Congratulations! Thank you for your service towards the college, and carry our best wishes to your new assignment.

Dr. Khrietuo Doulo, from the Department of Mathematics has rendered 26 years at Kohima Science College Autonomous. He retired on January 2022. The KSCJ faculty, staff & students is grateful for his dedication and commitment rendered to the college and wishes him a healthy and wonderful life ahead.

Mr. Thuyekhai Ringa joined the college in Geography dept. as a Lecturer on the 15th Feb. 1990 and has deligently taught for 31 years. He retired on the 31st Dec. 2021 as Associate Professor. The KSCJ faculty, staff & students is grateful for his dedicated service and wish him a wonderful life ahead.


Alumna Vevotolu Kezo (IAS) becomes one of the select few to have cracked one of the toughest examinations in the world in which the success rate ranges from 0.1-0.4%. With her recent feat of having cleared the exam in the first attempt, she joins Kesonyu Yhome-IAS (2008) and Richard Yanthan-IAS (2019) on the alumni hall of fame, as it were, in the college.


Alumna, Aotula Ozukum cleared UPSC (2023) in rank 874, and has been allocated Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) Group ‘A’ service. Earlier, she has cleared NPSC. The college is proud of her achievement.

"The Future is here" was all he wrote: Neiphiu Rio, the Honourable Chief Minister launched the smart interactive board for smart classroom at KSCJ. This was for all Govt. colleges in the state. To the delight of the audience he playfully wrote the line qouted above on the smart board. While commending the department of higher education for embracing technology, he said such teaching aid would make learning "joyful and interesting"
Dr. Dean Current delivering the keynote the international conference at KSCJ on “Integrated Land Use Management in the Eastern Himalayas – Focus on Nagaland” . This event was jointly organized by the department of Botany, KSCJ and the CFANS, University of Minnesota and sponsored by Government of Nagaland. The academic meet saw participation from USA, South Korea, Bengladesh and Mizoram University (India).

The Evangelical Union (EU) of Kohima Science College (Autonomous) Jotsoma celebrated its 50th aniiversary with the theme “Jubilation to His faithfulness”. Rev. Bonny Resu, former General Secretary Asia Pacific Baptist Federation and Moatoshi Imsong, State Secretary UESI, Nagaland spoke during the the mega event.
The jubilee monolith was unveiled on October 12 by Moatoshi Imsong with Bokato Hesso leading the dedication.
