DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
Brief Profile
Established in 1961 as a supporting language subject for science students, today the English Department has come to its own. BA in English is offered as an undegraduate programme of study in addition to Generic Elective Course, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course (AECC) and BVoc in "English Communication Skill". The department has developed a language laboratory for promotion of popular languages. Current Research includes the role of language laboratory in english teaching-learning process, Indians writing in English and others.
